2019 Brakes for Breasts

UPDATE: Thank you to everyone who participated in Brakes for Breasts.  This year we raised $2,050.00 dollars.  Keeping in tradition we matched every dollar for a grand total of $4,100.00! 

 This October we are once again participating in Brakes for Breasts. All month long, for every brake service that Borst Automotive performs, the brake pads or shoes are FREE.  On top of that, 10% of the proceeds from each brake job will be donated to the Cleveland Clinic Breast Cancer Vaccine Fund – 100% of the monies donated go directly to the them. 

Since last years event, the Cleveland Clinic Breast Cancer Vaccine Fund was awarded funding to launch a clinical trial to begin testing for the vaccine.  However, before they can begin the trial, they will need approval from the FDA.  They hope to start their first Phase 1 trial in early 2020 and will focus on women who have recently recovered from treatment for triple-negative breast cancer (the most lethal form of breast cancer).
